Preppy Dog in Sweater Saves the Town

Treatment

The story begins with a dramatic still black and white image of the fearless hero of Funkytown, Preppy Dog, superimposed over a Gotham landscape. 1950's era newsreel music accompanies the image. As the image transitions to color, Preppy Dog is shown relaxing at home while narration begins in the standard 1950's propaganda film tone. Preppy Dog is alerted to action as the narration continues. He moves at a frenetic pace as it is time for him to once again take action to defend Funkytown with hard rock music in the background.

Attention moves to the town, with Lipps, Inc. offering the serenade of the town's name. A monster is approaching the town, its footsteps rumbling the bowels of the earth. Defense officials take action, but are useless against the menacing swats of the monster. The monster walks into town, destroying buildings and helicopters that get in the way.

The monster laughs with evil glee as it squats behind the Tower of Pisa , leaving a souvenir of its visit. An angry villager shouts in Spanish at the disrespect of the monster as Preppy Dog arrives on the scene with a dramatic score harkening his arrival. The monster takes note, pausing from its woeful path of destruction through town as "The Ride of the Valkyries" begins.

Preppy Dog bounds through the remains of the town to slay the evil menace, while the narrator offers words of encouragement. The monster has no chance of winning, as Preppy Dog saves the day. The monster lies in a pool of his own blood while the narrator decries the monster's foolish behavior. With a pan of the ruined town, Preppy Dog dances while "Funkytown" once again plays in the background.
