This project was a semester long production. The purpose of this project was to learn character animation using Character Studio. Since the focus was on the character, all other models (if any were used) were to be simple.

In the dark confines of a room somewhere well hidden from the rest of the world lurks an ork shaman. He's got skin that looks like a toad and sharp pointy teeth jutting out from his jaw. He has no hair. It would just make him uglier. He has armor, but not a full set. It's only a chest plate, bracers, greaves, and pauldrons with spikes coming out here and there to menace anyone who gets in his way. He has a loin cloth, but no shoes. No self-respecting ork would ever wear shoes. His ears are pierced with some kind of gaudy jewelry and he wears a necklace with huge baubles. Oh, those earrings are carved bones. And those aren't baubles at all. They're really what looks to be shrunken heads. This ork, like all orks, is obviously not one to be trifled with.
More so with this one being a shaman, and a shaman with intent on his mind to boot. He is consumed with the need to perform a ritual in this room. The room is not brightly lit. There looks to be some kind of magical glow coming from somewhere in the room but there is nothing which readily gives away its appearance as being a source of light. There are a few candles in the center of the room, but they don't look like their main purpose is for light. They are spaced periodically around something on the floor. There is a magic circle here with small columns rising from its midst to help harness the power of the summoning. He enters the circle and beings to perform his magic. He moves within the circle, taking steps, waving his hands, and there's noise that may be the ork or maybe it's what he's summoning.
The summoning continues at a feverish pace. The circle and columns show signs of the summoning. A glow emanates from the circle. Lightning can be seen to crackle from the columns. Then when the ritual reaches its peak, there's a loud boom and something appears in the center of the circle. The ork goes to the center of the circle to retrieve his prize: a package of Twinkies.

As Ork turns to face columns, camera view is from his left side. It begins to zoom out and pan left around circle as Ork begins chanting and performing ritual. The knot on the floor inside the magic circle begins to glow slightly.

Camera view is from above at roughly 45 degree angle, starting from the column side facing Ork, camera pans around the circle to the left. Lightning sparks up the columns as Ork continues to chant and perform ritual. A rumbling sound begins to be heard.

Camera shot from behind Ork angled down towards circle on the floor. The circle in the knot begins to glow as more sparks shoot up the columns. The rumbling sound continues as Ork switches to a new, more intense chant.

Camera view returns to shot of Ork through the columns as a bright flash issues from the circle with a loud boom as the last of the rumbling and glows from the magic circle dies away.

Camera zooms in towards Ork and moves slightly upwards as he bends down to pick up something from the circle. He retrieves a box of Twinkies from the floor and as he stands he begins to laugh.
